Clinical Study of Meniscus Tear



Abstract
Clinical analysis was done 150 meniscus injuries operated on at Orthopaedic Department of Capital Armed Forces General Hospital from July. 1979 to April: 1933 with the following results.
1. All cases, were millitary personel.aged, most of them 3 decade.
2. The football and fall down accident were the most common cause of injury mechanism.
3. The lateral meniscus was frequently injuried than medial with 19 : 11.
4. Longitudinal tear at posterior segment was the most common type of injuried involved 40 cases (27%).
5. Rate of accuracy in arthrography with, epinephrine was 85% and that in arthrography) without epinephrine was 75%.
6. In follow-up study, Satisfactory results were obtained in 75%.
